Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tatsujin Investments B.V., a private limited company incorporated in the Netherlands ("Tatsujin Pro", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit tatsujinpro.com or use the Tatsujin Pro application. Tatsujin Investments B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 74703382, is the controller of that data. We are committed to handling your information carefully and only for the purposes described below.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, country, and the password you set when you create an account.
  • Profile and coaching data: certifications, saved sessions, and other content you create in the app.
  • Payment information: your purchase and access status and billing details. Card data is collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Stripe, and is never stored on our servers.
  • Technical data: device, browser, approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic usage information needed to run and secure the service.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • provide and maintain the Tatsujin Pro platform and your account;
  • process your purchase and payments through Stripe;
  • show pricing in the correct currency for your country;
  • respond to your requests and provide support;
  • improve and secure the service and prevent abuse;
  • send you essential service messages, and, only with your consent, updates.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service and billing), to comply with legal obligations, on the basis of your consent (for optional communications), and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform.

Service providers

We share data only with trusted providers who help us run the service, under appropriate safeguards. These include Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Bunny (video delivery), PostHog (product analytics), Resend (account emails), Anthropic (the AI Coach, which receives the questions you type into it), and Wise (commission payouts to referral partners). If you take part in the referral program, we also store the payout details you give us (account holder, bank account and email) and share them with Wise only to make your transfer. We do not sell your personal data. Outside the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland we also use Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our own ads: when you sign up, start checkout or buy, Meta receives that event with your email address in hashed (scrambled) form, your IP address and browser type, so we can see which ads work. We never do this for visitors or buyers in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland.

International transfers

Tatsujin Pro is available worldwide, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Our application and database are hosted in Japan, which the European Commission recognises as offering an adequate level of data protection. PostHog processes analytics in the European Union. Some providers, such as Stripe, Resend and Anthropic, may process data in the United States; there we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. We retain limited records longer where required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

Deleting your account

To delete your account, email us at info@tatsujinpro.com from the address you signed up with. We delete your account and the personal data linked to it within 30 days and confirm by email. Records we must keep by law, such as invoices, are kept only as long as the law requires. Deleting your account ends your access; a purchase is not refunded by deletion, but the 14-day money-back guarantee still applies within its period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in the Netherlands the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in, remember your language, and operate the service securely, plus product analytics that help us improve the app. Outside the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland we also use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies to measure our own ads on Facebook and Instagram. Visitors from the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland get no advertising cookies at all.

If you arrive through a partner's referral link, we set one cookie for 30 days that records which partner sent you, and link that partner to your account when you sign up. The partner earns a commission if you buy. Partners never see your name or email address, only an anonymous reference, your country and the amount.

Children

Tatsujin Pro is intended for professional trainers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
